We are proud announce that this year's custom show has been sponsored by Sooty's Customs. In honour of this there is even a Kustom Karnival t-shirt that you can buy on the day featuring one of Andy Stroud's brilliant designs!
As part of this year's festival we intend to run a custom event with a difference. Not only will the entrants be able to display their machines in a static display area, but they will also be riding their bikes and trikes in the arena in front of the spectators.
All real custom enthusiasts realise that a motorcycle never truly comes alive until it is fired up and ridden down the road. This Show will give the public a chance to see and hear some magnificent machinery on the move at close quarters, and to give the riders, normally such a shy and retiring bunch, a real sense of participation and pride.
All machines MUST ride in the show to qualify for the prizes, and to ride in the show your machine must be taxed and insured. Crash helmets must also be worn.
To pre-enter your machine, simply send a few piccies of your bike and your contact details via e-mail to andystroud63@btinternet.com, and if you are accepted you will receive a free ticket and entrance details. It will be possible to enter on the day, but you will have to queue with the general public and make yourself known to the show organisers.
Please don't be shy in entering your bike. This is the first time a custom show has been organised as part of the festival, and the ethos is definitely," The more the merrier". Obviously there will be some bikes of a high standard there, but it is often surprising what will take the eye of the judges, so have no pre-conceived ideas about what constitutes a custom.
