Blood Bikers ‘Rosalind’ steps into the limelight.
The blood Bikers SERV OBN (Oxon, Bucks, Berks & Northants) provides a vital rapid response medical transport service, carrying Transporting urgently needed medical items including Blood, Blood Products, Biological Samples, Vaccines, Medical Notes, X-Rays, Scans & Donor Breast Milk & other urgently required medical items to hospitals at night weekdays and daytime weekends and bank holidays, out of hours and free of Charge to local NHS Trusts throughout the Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire & Northamptonshire region.
SERV Provides a service that has saved many lives, yet receives no government funding
Their costs are met entirely by donations from members of the public and corporate sponsorship. Their service is provided completely free of charge, allowing the NHS to divert funds where they are needed most.
All of their volunteers are trained to a very high standard. Many have also been trained in F.P.O.S (First Person on Scene).
On one occasion, after witnessing a collision between a bike and a car, one of their riders quickly made the scene safe, tended to the casualty and assisted the emergency services upon their arrival.

Mr Richardson from SERV OBN stated that the Blood Bikers were overwhelmed by the substantial donation from the Festival that enabled them to add ‘Rosalind’ to their fleet and added that she will be a real asset to their work in helping those in need.
Mr Copas said that the festival committee were excited at the prospect of working closely with the Blood Bikers and making them a principal beneficiary alongside the Air Ambulance who the Festival had supported since 2009.
The Blood Bikers team, led by Chairman Alistair Borland MBE, did a fantastic job coordinating our traffic management plan and made for a great event. We were, therefore, thrilled that we could pass on our success by making a donation that would allow the Blood Bikers to acquire ‘Rosalind’.
